Before going through the references of male challenges, it must be kept in mind that uncountable males have shaped human history and development in positive ways. We could begin with the 844 men who have made a significant contributions which are Nobel Prize winners.
Here is the problem most of us don’t know and its measurement.
Readers, please do your own research to confirm all that follows.
What does it mean to be a man?
Males are:
90% of world's murderers
93% of the inmates in US prisons (This represents 0.7 percent of the US population)
95% of school shooters
98% of mass shooters in the United States
99% of rapists
85 - 90% perpetrators of domestic violence
80% of serial killers
80 – 90% of pedophiles
None of these come as a surprise.
Tyrants
Throughout history megalomaniacs, all freedom-suppressing dictators have been male.
Advancement of Humankind
In the past, when there was a labor-intensive agricultural and manufacturing culture, male strength was necessary. We have moved to machine automated processes for both. It has become a knowledge-based where brain over brawn is necessary and the norm.

is the ability to adapt to change."

Percent of College Graduates by Gender
In an impressive increase from years past, 39.1 percent of women in the United States had completed four years or more of college in 2021. This figure is up from 3.8 percent of women in 1940. A significant increase can also be seen in males, with 36.6 percent of the U.S. male population having completed four years or more of college in 2020, up from 5.5 percent in 1940. The college dropout rate among men is 20% higher than women. More women graduate than men and the gap is widening. Does this mean that men are quitters? Are females more motivated; action oriented doers? More female high-school graduates enrolled in college compared to men.
Males have short-term thinking about education, the future, security and the ability to adapt. With this comes fear and aggression. Women apparently are long-term thinkers. Excluding pregnancy-related visits, women are 33% more likely than men to visit a doctor. It is long-term thinkers who succeed into the future. Women live longer.

Some men say that say that one of the reasons for the lower education rates of males is due to the fact that teachers are predominately female. It is the lack of male example. If this were true, then how was it that for hundreds of years the overwhelming numbers of college graduates were male while at that time the school teachers were also predominately female?
Misogyny
Misogyny is the hatred of, contempt for or prejudice against women. Do you know of a similar term from the women's perspective? Men see their position threatened and as indicated above males act out: sometimes violently. Roughly 90 percent of domestic violence is caused by men.

Business Success
The reason for the 2008 – 2009 world-wide recession was that corporate leadership over extended themselves and took too much risk. This leadership was predominately male. There were two independent studies of the Fortune 500 companies covering this period. One was done in the United Kingdom and the other in the United States. These independent studies found that those companies that had at least three top executives or three board members who were women had a 40% better return of investment.

Women care for and encourage the growth and development in the formative stage of life setting the foundation of future adults – male and female alike.
Males and females are found to have the same level of IQ (Intelligence Quotient). Females, however, have a higher EQ (Emotional Quotient) Humans are emotional beings. The combination of IQ and EQ provides added advantage.
Women ask more questions than men. They are less limited by pridefulness - machismo; the fear of appearing ignorant. A question is the beginning of knowledge.
